Hi Everyone,
Welcome to our fabrics page. I want to share with you some thoughts on the subject of fabric, if you don’t mind. Have you or anyone else in your family ever had some special blanket or pillow as a child, that had to go with them, not to mention eat, sleep and drag around the house till they tucked it in with them at bedtime? Two of my girls had a little pillow “thing” (and still do), that their Auntie AJ made them years ago,as well as the cute little pillowcases to go with it.
Now these pillowcases have been washed hundreds of times and some of them are finally showing the wear and tear. But my Allyson and Christine still adore them- because they were made especially for them by their Aunt.
I mention this to make a point about fabric. It is important that you buy good quality fabric if you want it to last many years. Also good fabric will take numerous washings , especially with kids like mine.
Fabric is material that keeps us warm on a cold night. It holds many special memories to us, whether it is made by a special Aunt or a Grandma. We keep these special thoughts in our hearts when we hold something of theirs in our hands.
Fabric can be a keepsake for our next kin or a special person we know, and will last generations to come.
So take care of it! You’ll be glad you did!
The following links will help you put together that special quilt (or pillowcase) for someone special. We’d like you to take the time you need in deciding what material you should buy, and how to make it special for someone. Take note on washing and caring for your special material too,as it to will last for many years to come – just like my girls pillowcases!
Please feel free to ask us any questions that you have if you if you can’t find what your looking for!
Thanks for stooping by to visit. Come back soon!
